STRIDES is happy to announce that our parent company, SMRT Corporation has received three distinguished awards at the 25th Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards (SEAA), underscoring our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. The awards were presented by Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Ms. Grace Fu, to SMRT Chairman Mr. Seah Moon Ming and SMRT Group CEO Mr. Hoon Ping Ngien at the ceremony today.
- Outstanding Environmental Achievement Award: This top accolade recognises SMRT’s exceptional efforts in sustainability, environmental responsibility, and social inclusion.
- Innovation and Design Award: This award acknowledges SMRT’s advancements in green technology, including the development of green stations and enhancements in Communications-based Train Control (CBTC) systems.
- Systems and Management Award: This honour highlights SMRT’s comprehensive sustainability policies, e-learning modules, staff orientation sessions, and transparent reporting of our environmental impact, as well as our collaboration with supply chain vendors on sustainability initiatives.
